O’brian Jones

Emerging Fine Artist O'brian Jones has quickly caught the attention from collectors all over the world selling over 700 paintings before breaking the threshold of his thirties.

In the last several years as he grew older, O'brian started to make decisions that would influence major changes to help shape his future. Although he loved his small hometown feeling of Grady, Arkansas, he was eager for a fresh start in a city not too far from home and decided to move to a place that always sparked his interest, Dallas, TX. chasing after.

Before O'brian's successful up and coming professional art career, he initially started his new corporate job in Dallas like many other millennials settling into the big city. O'brian didn't skip a beat after he quickly realized his entrepreneurial spirit would not allow him to stay in Corporate America for too long. At that point, Jones's priorities shifted and realized working the typical 9 to 5 was simply a stepping stone that would help him elevate to the next level. A few years later Jones took a leap of faith and decided to become his own boss by bringing his passion for art to life. "For me, art is a form of expression so I just started illustrating my visions and feeling onto a blank canvas." After creating a few pieces, Jones decided to start showcasing his art on social media for the world to see; allowing him the freedom to build the life he was chasing after.

Texas born and Texas raised, DALE is a self-taught artist based in the Dallas. Throughout his life from an early age his homework was scattered with more doodles than words. He was constantly bursting at the seams with energy and creativity struggling to channel it into something meaningful and tangible.

Much of his art reflects his love for the nostalgic being able to spin the wheels back and breath life back into the past with the assistance of pop art, street art, contemporary style. Much like a mosquito he is drawn to bright and vivid colors. His love for Texas casts a shadow over many of his pieces. He is lead with the idea of being inspired to be an inspiration. As many people have taken him under their wing through the years. He hopes to one day be the one others turn to for help and guidance in the art community.

To say he has a set style would be a fantasy of its own as his work continues to evolve. The only thing that is consistent is his humor, curiosity, and love for pop art. He tends to draw inspiration from his childhood and the 90's and his love of the 80's that he developed through his time in college.

Daniel I. Yanez

Daniel I. Yanez (aka Artist DIY) is a Dallas native based out of the Oak Cliff area. Growing up poor and homeless, Daniel learned quickly how to create something from nothing. He was first recognized for his abilities at a young age, where he was given an opportunity to take a few art classes at a local college by his elementary school art teacher. After graduating Sunset High School in Oak Cliff in 2003, Daniel pursued higher education at Mountain View College. That fall, he felt a whole new world had been opened up for him. Walking into a gallery for the first time, he knew he had found what he wanted to do and began to pursue art professionally. The first six years of his art career was comprised of working multiple jobs, going through heartache and heartbreak of learning the business, and perfecting his personal style. During the most difficult time of his career, he was also challenged with the duties of being a father. From the years 2004 through the present, he has raised six children in total. Yet, this is not even the zenith of what he has accomplished since that fall semester in college. In 2012, Daniel opened his first art gallery in Oak Cliff named The Basement Gallery. This was soon accompanied the year after by another gallery called The Attic. In 2018 Daniel opened Elevate DTX which provides studio space for multiple artists and another gallery in 2021 named Cold Soda. Daniel has been celebrated through many publications including D Magazine Home Edition, D Magazine CEO Edition, Dallas Morning News and Time Magazine. His work is currently apart of the Meow Wolf Collection, Dallas Mavericks collection, The post Cereal collection, Invitation Homes Collection and the Bank of America Collection to name a few. Daniel is currently working on works which pushes his style and use of patterns in many new forms which include mural, installation and most recently NFT,s. We look forward to what he will accomplish next.

Michael Wayne Hall

Michael Wayne Hall uses painting as a meditative practice. His work is always created by hand. Colors are individually mixed and remixed, and are applied without the use of tape or masking, allowing wobbles, smudges, and other imperfections to remain. It is important to him that while each piece is extremely precise, a close examination reveals the handmade nature of the process. His abstract paintings are grounded in his love of the flat-color aesthetics of vintage screenprints. He makes use of methodically blended color gradients to imply movement, transitions, and depth. The work feels familiar and yet modern, and is simultaneously both calming and energizing.

Michael attended the University of the Arts for film, learned screenprinting at Space 1026 in Philadelphia, and is a self taught painter, muralist, and woodworker.

His commission clients include Facebook, Austin City Limits Music Festival, Still Austin Whiskey Co, Nordstrom’s, Natiivo, Downtown Austin Alliance, Austin Energy, the City of Smithville Texas, Austin Daily Press, Blackfeather Vintage, Batch Craft Beers, the Little Darlin, Beautiful World Syndicate Records, East Side Glass, and many others.

He has exhibited in New York City, Philadelphia, Seattle, Marfa, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and many other cities throughout the US.  He was one half of the experimental music duo and printing project, Ospreys, touring extensively from 2005-2009.  He has written about his experiences riding freight trains over the last 22 years for Faded Glory magazine, and for the French book about North American boxcar art, Outside the Box. In 1999, he co-founded the Lost Film Fest, a nomadic film festival.

Amy Voss

Amy grew up in Houston, TX and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After graduating college, Amy worked in the entertainment industry, as Southwest Promotions Director for Lyric Street Records, Affiliate Relations Director for ESPN Radio, and then ABC Television network. After leaving her 10-year corporate career to take on the joys (and challenges!) of motherhood, Amy discovered her passion for working with glass, an activity that channeled her love of music into an art form. A self taught artist, Amy experimented with various approaches before she landed on her signature style: One-of-a-kind glass sculptures that incorporate the body of an acoustic guitar as canvas—a natural fit for her bold and expressive work. In 2009, she launched Glass Axes to both sell bespoke works, and educate customers about her process. Many of Amy’s guitar sculptures have been acquired by private collectors, including entertainer Katy Perry, and renowned entertainment industry execs; as well as hotels and restaurants. Amy currently resides in Dallas with her husband and son.

Kym Day

Kym is a realist oil painter in Greenville, SC. Originally from McKinney, TX, she grew up in Georgia and the Carolinas. She received a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a MFA in sculpture from Clemson University.

Rooted in realism, and steeped in dream logic, the Western-infused imagery points to my roots and early childhood in Texas, and I aim to imbue the work with a sense of wonder, in an attempt to reaccess my childhood imagination.

“I’ve forever been drawn to the motif of the horse, perhaps the inherent call of the horseless horse-girl, and growing up, my father’s John Wayne film collection kept my mind filled with cowboys. As a kid, my bicycle became my trusty steed named Nancy, after Nancy Drew.”

The painted daydreams often entail visitations by curious horses, sometimes found sneaking through an empty house, celebrating a birthday with other livestock, or relaxing poolside.

“My techniques and use of realism reflect my interest in art historical symbolism. The cowboys and livestock in my work often find themselves subject to dream logic, navigating diversions like takeout food, wildfires, and magic eight balls. These operate as metaphors for the junk we consume and create, and our vain desire to see into the future.”

“My paintings filter the nostalgia for my Texan roots through the lenses of pop culture, daydream, and fantasy. I find utter joy in merging beauty with absurdity.”
