Our Artists

Nosheen Iqbal

Born in Surrey, England, she moved to Texas in mid-teens. She received a BA with outstanding portfolio award in Communication Design from the University of North Texas. After graduation, she worked for Fossil for over a decade in design, art direction and finally as a lead watch designer. She has also worked for brands such as DKNY, Armani Exchange and a collaborative collection with Opening Ceremony whilst still at Fossil.  She is currently a multidisciplinary artist working in the fields of product design and development, illustration and graphic design. Nosheen Iqbals Pakistani heritage plays a dominate role in her choice of color, pattern and texture. Pakistan has a rich history of pigment dyeing and embroidery techniques which varies in each province and dates back further than the Mughal Empire. She is also heavily influenced by the intricate and interlaced patterns found Islamic Art. Taking key elements from the classical tradition, she elaborates upon them in order to invent a new form of decoration  and design. From an early age she was sewing and embroidering small remnants of fabric, leaves and textured papers. Intrigued by the idea of tactility of mixed media textile and the juxtaposition of soft and hard materials - nature versus modern. To further explore this notion, she combines fibers and wood to create something handmade using unconventional techniques.   She has worked with brands such as Hermes to create extraordinary installations for their store window. She has also worked with brands such as Fossil, Opening Ceremony, Virgin Voyages and JW Marriott. In addition, she has created charitable pieces for Dwell with Dignity, The Warren Center, ICNA and the Humane League.

Cris Bozas

I’m Cristina “Cris” Bozas, a contemporary abstract artist originally from Caracas, Venezuela. I moved to the U.S. in 1998 and have been based in Massachusetts since 2012. My journey in art began early, nurtured by a family of craft artists, architects, and marketers who instilled a deep appreciation for aesthetics and creativity. Driven by curiosity and a passion for self-expression, I discovered my voice through painting and drawing. After studying graphic design and spending over 20 years in marketing as a creative director, I transitioned to my true calling: acrylic abstract painting.

My background in design and love for artistic exploration shape my unique abstract expressionist style. My work tells stories through layered colors and textures, inviting viewers to connect with emotions like joy, nostalgia, peace, and passion. Each piece offers a pause, a moment to engage with the energy of the present, and often reflects the viewer’s inner landscape.

Inspired by both the raw beauty of horizons and the complexity of human emotions, my art bridges the external environment and the inner world. Through layered textures and bold colors, I celebrate nature’s power and serenity, offering a space for reflection and reconnection.

My approach combines intuitive expression with intentional focus. I start with vibrant, spontaneous sketches that evolve into layered compositions of bold color and texture, each revealing a story. Using a unique technique I’ve developed, I apply thick, flowing threads of paint to create organic, textured shapes that draw the viewer in and create an immersive, tactile experience.

MARLOWE

MARLOWE was born in Brooklyn to an artistic mother who then migrated south to Florida. From there, it became an odyssey trek around the country with stops in New Orleans, Houston, and Philadelphia." Seeing these different cultures, textures, and flavors from everywhere influenced my art choices...bold, unpredictable colors with quirky angles and perspectives."

A unique aspect of Marlowe’s work is the layering technique. The base art is the background on layer 1. Then the middle images make up level 2. The final image is level 3, which is the most prominent graphic of the entire artwork. They all nest on top of each other, which creates a soft ambient shadow when light hits the canvas.

The 1970s saw Marlowe graduating from Ohio University with a BFA and heading to Manhattan to make his mark in Graphic Design. "Amazingly, my first assignment was to design record album covers for Hall & Oates. From there, it was on to book jacket design, typeface creation, and packaging. "My early graphic technique was the creative seed for my fine art career years later, a visual look, not for the faint of heart."

Marlowe resides in North Carolina, creating bold work for private collections and corporations.

Lea Ellermeier

You could say Lea Ellermeier is a painter and you would be right. But it's not the whole truth. It's hard to put a label on Lea. She is an entrepreneur and CEO, author, and painter. She describes herself as a creative person trying to understand the world through her many artistic endeavors.

“I may not be able to put into words what 1983 was like, or a kiss, or the Berkshires. BUT WHEN I BEGIN TO PAINT, I CAN TRANSLATE THE FEELING TO AN IMAGE: I capture what roller skating in the 1970s looked like through my child’s eyes (ROLLER HEAVEN) or how singing along with Tina Turner’s makes me feel. (WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT).”

Christian Kneisel, former director of the Brandenburg Theatre and curator of the Brennabor Art Gallery said of Lea, “Lea Ellermeier immerses herself in parallel universes, creates her own galaxies as if she were looking at them from the inside. She gives us coded hints to visible realities, turns the inside out and is brave enough to make deeply hidden things clear to us.”

Lea received her B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird, School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. She and her husband split their time between Dallas, Texas and Berlin, Germany.

Her paintings have been sold worldwide and are currently available at the Daum Gallery in Dallas, Texas, Casa Costa in Dallas, Texas, Coast Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA, Art Social in Plano, TX and Space by RBI in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Artist statement

In a constant state of disconnection...

Disconnection is the feeling that I have felt most of my life. Growing up, I never had a good sense of belonging to any one culture, place, identity, or group. As an immigrant, I have always had the feeling that I was inhabiting multiple worlds, while never calling one home.

This feeling has transferred over into my artwork, in my eternal journey of always giving something a home or purpose. My works are created from multiple materials, pieces, and repurposed items. Many of these materials are sometimes overlooked and discarded, as they have served their initial purpose. I have a sense of purpose of giving an item a new light, and history. This can be in part due to my past experiences of searching for connectivity and wanting to belong and not be under-appreciated.

My main source of inspiration comes from my own personal history, and experiences. As I try to reconnect with my own identity, I have learned to express my culture through my art. Each piece I make is a bridge of experience that I take from one piece to the next. This has served as my main driving force to want to be a better artist and learn from my mistakes. In the end I wish to honor my past, enjoy the present, and prepare for the future through my art.

Amber Goodwin

Amber Goodwin is a multidisciplinary artist from Dallas, Texas.  Her passion for art began at the age of 12 when her mother enrolled her in a glass painting workshop where she created free hand paintings with relief paint and Pebeo Vitrail glass paint.  She received her bachelors in science in biology and a minor in fine art.  She later attended Texas Tech University and received her Master’s of Science in Healthcare Administration.  During her junior year in college she exhibited her first water color floral exhibition.  Upon graduation Amber continued to create art as a hobby while continuing her higher education.

While trying to find new ways to be creative; Amber discovered Fluid Art. This type of artform has allowed Amber to combine her science and research background and most recently she has been experimenting with fluid and 3D texture heavy texture dot art. Amber is fond of incorporating big bold colors in her paintings.  She finds her color inspiration from the neighboring and great state of New Mexico as well as her Punjabi heritage.  Not only does she love creating art, but also has a passion to teach others.  She has instructed in-person and virtual classes and absolutely loves to teach.

When Amber is not creating art, she is busy with her position as Practice Administrator for the Texas Health Dallas and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Hyperbaric Research Department.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, daughter, friends and family.  In her spare time, she loves to cook, travel, go to sporting events and Zumba.

Mindy Pantuso

Mindy from Mpwovenn Fiberart has been hand weaving woven wall hangings for home collectors and commercial spaces since 2019. Mindy creates modern abstract wall art. I’m a fiber artist based in San Antonio, Texas. The story behind my business was to do something for myself while going through post partum depression after having my second baby. I taught myself to weave on a weaving loom and made art for myself. Soon enough I was making art for my friends and family.

Mpwovenn Fiberart was my creative outlet and also my therapy. I find my inspiration from the fibers I use creating new texture and dimension. Woven Tile Wall Tiles are pops of color, pops of texture and pops of fun. A series of woven tiles together in different colors or just adding a woven tile to a gallery wall makes a great conversation piece for any space. My process was to “think outside the frame.” I didn’t want the fiber art to be contained within a frame but to embrace it and take hold of it. I want art collectors to feel like they’re buying a quality made, conversation piece of art for their space when they purchase my items.
