Woven Tiles & Bubbles

Mindy from Mpwovenn Fiberart has been hand weaving woven wall hangings for home collectors and commercial spaces since 2019. Mindy creates modern abstract wall art. I’m a fiber artist based in San Antonio, Texas. The story behind my business was to do something for myself while going through post partum depression after having my second baby. I taught myself to weave on a weaving loom and made art for myself. Soon enough I was making art for my friends and family.

Mpwovenn Fiberart was my creative outlet and also my therapy. I find my inspiration from the fibers I use creating new texture and dimension. Woven Tile Wall Tiles are pops of color, pops of texture and pops of fun. A series of woven tiles together in different colors or just adding a woven tile to a gallery wall makes a great conversation piece for any space. My process was to “think outside the frame.” I didn’t want the fiber art to be contained within a frame but to embrace it and take hold of it. I want art collectors to feel like they’re buying a quality made, conversation piece of art for their space when they purchase my items.

Amber Goodwin is a multidisciplinary artist from Dallas, Texas.  Her passion for art began at the age of 12 when her mother enrolled her in a glass painting workshop where she created free hand paintings with relief paint and Pebeo Vitrail glass paint.  She received her bachelors in science in biology and a minor in fine art.  She later attended Texas Tech University and received her Master’s of Science in Healthcare Administration.  During her junior year in college she exhibited her first water color floral exhibition.  Upon graduation Amber continued to create art as a hobby while continuing her higher education.

 While trying to find new ways to be creative; Amber discovered Fluid Art. This type of artform has allowed Amber to combine her science and research background and most recently she has been experimenting with fluid and 3D texture heavy texture dot art. Amber is fond of incorporating big bold colors in her paintings.  She finds her color inspiration from the neighboring and great state of New Mexico as well as her Punjabi heritage.  Not only does she love creating art, but also has a passion to teach others.  She has instructed in-person and virtual classes and absolutely loves to teach.  

When Amber is not creating art, she is busy with her position as Practice Administrator for the Texas Health Dallas and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Hyperbaric Research Department.  She enjoys spending time with her husband, son, daughter, friends and family.  In her spare time, she loves to cook, travel, go to sporting events and Zumba.
